HYPNOSIS  AND  HYPNOTHERAPY.

  1. hypnosis is not sleep, unconsciousness or any other strange state of mind. It is a perfectly normal state of mind that we experience many times a day.
  2. You will not lose your awareness.
  3. You will not lose control or be controlled.
  4. you cannot be made to do or say anything you don't want to.
  5. you cannot get stuck in hypnosis.

The state of hypnosis is a totally natural phenomenon.

As human beings, we go in and out of the hypnotic state

spontaneously many times a day.

Trance (deep relaxation) is an excellent state for many activities,

such as creativity, planning, problem solving,

changing destructive habits, limiting belief systems

and negative thought processes.

Hypnosis is a most pleasant and relaxing experience

yet incredibly profound and powerful.

There are numerous clinical studies substantiating

the effectiveness of the hypnotic state in changing individual lives.

People in trance are more awake to themselves.

Trance and hypnosis help people to learn about

              themselves and express themselves better.

Hypnosis is not a therapy, its a relaxed state, of the body

and the conscious mind, giving access to the subconscious mind,

where all our programming is stored.

Hypnosis is the key that unlocks the door in

the "power house"of thoughts, memories and emotions,

namely the subconscious mind - thereby giving access

and power to use your brains' own bio-computer.

The ultimate aim is to ensure freedom from whatever

has been restricting your capacity to make the most

of yourself and your life. It can facilitate rapid change.

People have the wisdom within themselves to know their own solutions.

People have their own natural resources to make massive changes.

WHAT is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is not a therapy rather a therapy is conducted

in hypnosis which is called hypnotherapy.

Many therapeutic disciplines can be used in hypnosis

-such as suggestion therapy, and analyis,

NLP techniques, Cognitive behaviour therapy,

Parts and Gestalt therapies, solution focused therapy,

to name but a few.

The therapist will have a 'tool box' of many techniques

and processes to help the individual needs of the client.

Hypnotherapy uses the hypnotic relaxation to bring

about beneficial changes.

Utilising states of deep relaxation,

the therapist assists in uncovering and

exploring memories, emotions, past events

which may affect a persons conscious mind and

also activating the client's inner resources in order

to achieve the desired goals.

It is used to treat numerous medical and psychological problems.

Hypnotic techniques with therapeutic processes

have been useful in stopping smoking,

overcoming alcohol and substance abuse,

treating stress, sleep disorder and

mental health problems, such as anxiety,

fears, phobias and depression.

The British Medical Journal states;

"There is good evidence from randomised controlled trials that both hypnosis and relaxation techniques reduce anxiety....they are also effective for panic disorders and insomnia....A systematic review has found that hypnosis enhances the effects of cognitive behavioural therapy for conditions such as phobia, obesity and anxiety."

                                                                                                                                Health Education Authority.

"Research shows that there is more scientific evidence for hypnotherapy than any other complimentary therapy."
